Greetings Alumni!

The Connell High School 1905-1968 Reunion Committee has taken a little time off since last summer’s reunion and now is back on track planning the next big event.  The committee has regrouped with new goals, a few new members, and renewed excitement for our August 13-15, 2012 Reunion.

Our new committee members have come to us with willing hearts, and great ideas:  Margaret (Harris-65) Gottschalk: Roster/Email, Marilyn (Higley-64) Gottschalk: Webmaster, Rayma (Bailie-65) McLean: Newsletter, and Linda (Olberding-64) Hindmarch: Class Coordinator.  We know our next Reunion is a couple of years off, however, now is the time to start the 2012 Reunion ball rolling.

What a great turnout we had at our 2009 Reunion with over 255 attendees.  Alumni reconnected, reminisced among classmates at the Pioneer Park luncheon and continued into the evening at the Community Center with a delicious buffet catered by Michael J’s.  The evening program began by celebrating 100 years of Connell High School education and the 50^th graduation anniversary of classes 1957, 1958 and 1959.  We will not soon forget the CHS Vocal Ensemble Choir’s medley of 50’s music, class picture boards, CHS yearbooks, Connell Heritage Museum memorabilia and a continual play DVD presentation.

The CHS Reunion Committee’s main communication vehicles are the CHS Website and Emails.  The Website www.connelleaglereview.com is designed for overall information: announcements, postings, pictures and various messages.  Due to high costs, the committee’s goal is to minimize “hard copy” newsletters that have been sent out in the past.  If you have any questions regarding the CHS Website, please feel free to contact our Webmaster, Marilyn Gottschalk.

The committee’s other main communication is through Emails.  In order to communicate with alumni via Email, we must have your current Email address.  If you have a new address or a change of address, please inform our Email Specialist, Margaret Gottschalk right away.  All alumni addresses are confidential; only authorized committee members have access to this information.   One of the best communications is through “Word of Mouth”.  If you know of anybody who doesn’t have access to a computer, please share CHS Reunion information with them.

CHS ANNUAL YEARBOOKS

 Each year, the CHS Reunion Committee purchases a CHS annual adding to the CHS 1905-1968 Alumni Reunion collection at the Connell Library.  We now have 68 years of CHS annuals and are only missing eight (8) publications.  The missing annuals are 1971,1973,1974,1982, 1985, 1991, 1995 and 1999 (no annuals were printed in the 1930’s).  If you have an annual from the missing years and would like to donate, please contact Danell Hudlow.
